Resource Development - HEY!

Healthy Eating for Young Children
We have developed a seven week community health improvement programme with Danone Early Years Nutrition. This is delivered to parents with children in the Early Years who live in disadvantaged neighbourhoods. It aims to improve the health outcomes and life-chances of young children aged 1-3 by engaging their parents in healthy eating and Skills for Life learning. The programme has won several awards and has been accredited by the Royal Society of Public Health. The resources comprise a tutor pack, a parent learning diary and a one day Train the Trainer workshop. The tutor pack contains session plans, learning resources and activities for the toddlers to do while in the creche.

HEY! is mapped to the RSPH Level 1 Award in Health Improvement which means that the parents participating can get their learning accredited. For more information or to get involved with HEY! please contact janet.solla@chlfoundation.org.uk
